PH2 Pure Hydrogen Corporation

Pure Hydrogen (ASX: PH2) is strategically developing a hydrogen ecosystem in Australia which covers all aspects of the market from production to end-use, so we can provide our customers with holistic hydrogen solutions.

For this reason, we are focused on becoming a leading supplier/producer of both affordable hydrogen and hydrogen-powered devices including hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

Our development of hydrogen products and production facilities is underpinned by our interest in natural gases. We currently have three gas projects underway — Botala Energy’s Serowe Project, the Windorah Project in the Cooper Basin, and Project Venus in the Surat Basin.

‘The real struggle’: Can an ASX investment in hydrogen really pay off? May 23, 2023

This is the real struggle for hydrogen right now, the slow pick-up from the demand side. The transportation of hydrogen is a big issue, and to liquefy hydrogen is still very, very expensive. It’s around $US5 to $US7 per kilogram, so it’s very expensive.

According to USED:

A fuel cell coupled with an electric motor is 2–3 times more efficient than an internal combustion engine running on gasoline.

The energy in 2.2 pounds (1 kilogram) of hydrogen gas is about the same as the energy in 1 gallon (2.8 kilograms) of gasoline.
